🎃 Meet Benny: The Hardest-Working Skeleton at Simple Bites Meals

October looks a little different around Simple Bites Meals.

The kitchen is still busy. Meals are being cooked, portioned and packaged. Burritos are being rolled. Snack boxes are being assembled. Orders are heading out the door.

But this month, we have a little extra help around the building.

Meet Benny. 💀

Benny is our newest employee, although we use the word employee pretty loosely. So far, we've caught him hanging around the coolers, helping with pickups, sitting in the office and generally looking busy without accomplishing much of anything.

At least he follows the dress code and wears his hairnet. 😂

All kidding aside, we thought October was the perfect time to have a little fun while also sharing more about who we are and what happens behind the scenes at Simple Bites.

There Are Real People Behind Your Meals

Simple Bites isn't a big national food company.

We're a local, family-owned business right here in Meridian, Idaho, and we've been feeding our community since 2002.

What started more than two decades ago has grown into a busy USDA-inspected kitchen where our team prepares thousands of meals, burritos, wraps and snacks for our customers and wholesale partners.

And unlike Benny, our actual employees work REALLY hard. 😉

There are people here early prepping ingredients, cooking food, portioning meals, assembling orders, labeling packages and making sure everything is ready to get where it needs to go.

When you buy Simple Bites, you're supporting the people you see working in our kitchen—not some giant corporation hundreds of miles away.

We know how easy it is for dinner to become one more thing you have to figure out.

Stop by during our regular business hours, see what we have available, pick out the meals that sound good and take them home with you.

Want to fill the freezer before a busy week? You guessed it—come see us!

Our meals are just $10 each, so keeping a few on hand is an easy and affordable alternative to another trip through the drive-thru or ordering takeout.

👻 Local Food. Local People. A Little Bit of Fun.

Running a food business is a lot of work. There are early mornings, long production days, deliveries, paperwork and about a thousand things happening behind the scenes that our customers never see.

But after more than 20 years in business, we still think there's room to have some fun.

Especially in October.

So throughout the month, you may see Benny working his way around Simple Bites. We're still trying to figure out exactly what his job is, but he seems pretty committed to hanging around. 💀

And if Benny helps remind a few people that there's a local family and a hardworking team behind every Simple Bites meal, we'll keep him on the payroll.

Although we're definitely paying him in bones. 😂
